Jil Lasaca’s immigrant success story is a testament of her hard work, dedication, determination and perseverance. Born and raised in the Philippines, her journey to pursue the great American dream begun in a small, thriving Ciity of Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines where life was simple and laid-back. Twenty years ago, she took a leap of faith and left behind her family and her work as an Occupational Therapist at Northern Mindanao Medical Center and a pediatric clinic for an opportunity to travel and pursue her dream to live and work in America. With only couple of hundred dollars on her wallet, she worked her way from being a patient care technician to becoming a rehab manager of an outpatient clinic in North Dallas. Twice awarded as “Therapist of the Year” by CareerStaff and National Therapy Services, she went to work as contract therapist in some of best hospital in DFW are. Not content with the employee mindset, she started her own company Excellence Therapy Solutions serving home health clients for evaluation and treatment eight years ago. After raising enough capital by working two jobs, she ventured into real estate development in the Philippines focusing on apartments and farmlands producing rice and banana for the local markets. Being a serial entrepreneur, she opened e-commerce store Wil & Jil Store with her business partner W. Gonzalez. Furthermore, she is co-founded JCJ Glam, LLC with creative director Carlo Vargas and Bahrain-based designer Jugger Onate focusing on fashion line clothes and event planning business. She is also a senior business partner under Viceroy Entrepreneur Center with visionary founder Conrad Alagaban collaborating on business coaching development and personal brand marketing.
A former Editor in- Chief of Asian Beat Newspaper, Jil Lasaca possesses a great passion for writing, personality development and public speaking. She is a licensed Occupational therapist, e-commerce entrepreneur and a real estate developer. She is the personality development coach for Miss Asia America International Pageant based in Dallas. As a book lover, she started “ A thousand story books for a thousand children“ initiative three years ago as she wants to promote literacy and power of reading among young people in her hometown. An avid traveler, she plans on visiting all seven continents in the world and produce a coffee table book from her travels. Currently, she serves as a member of the board of directors for Philippines American Chamber of Commerce- DFW.
